Xat’s Power 82 – We have clues!

We’ve received a “tip”, from very high up, that power 82 will fall within the following parameters:

1. It will be named gmarine, simply marine, or some variation thereof
2. It will be both a power, and a “group” power (unless we got this one completely wrong)
3. Ummm.. there is no 3, that’s really all we know which leads us to…

Power 82 – Speculation…

Our initial guess, given the name and the ease at which one could come up with smiley ideas, has us leaning towards a “Marine” (as in aquatic) themed smiley set. This set could include things like a starfish, a jellyfish, an anchor, etc… How this could be both power and group power has us scratching our heads.

That’s all we’ve got so far. If anyone finds any additional information or has any insight, that leans our way or in an entirely different direction, feel free to comment below.

Xat’s new CYAN Pawn

Anyone who took a few minutes to visit or participate in Xat’s first celebrity chat (congratulations and a big welcome to Ashley Leggat continued success here on Xat!) surely noticed Xat’s new Cyan colored pawn.

This Pawn, as we’ve been told, has been set aside and designated as the official celebrity-only colored pawn (see screenie below).

What happened to my xats/days/powers?

Sometime between last night and this morning Xat did something that they’ve never done (not to our knowledge anyway), they “restored” all or some Xat accounts to a earlier state and Xat trade/transfer had to be closed down temporarily during the process. Now, to put rumor to rest and give each of you “some” closure or clarity (depending on where you stand), we’ve contacted Xat ourselves and here is what we know.

The reason/problem is highlighted in Yellow, the solution for some of you, is highlighted in Green.

If you were one of the unfortunates, meaning your account was “in receipt of stolen xats” (be it intentional or not) every one of your transactions has been canceled and restored to its pre-July 5th state. If you purchased xats after the specified date you should contact Xat by opening a ticket at xat.com/support (direct your question to Payment Problems) so that they can help you.

Xat’s new Group Control power

This morning Xat announced (to testers only) that it is currently trying out a new power called “gcontrol” (short for group control).

If all goes well in the testing phase, this power should eventually allow users to more precisely customize various aspects of their chat box. For example, a user could disallow all moderators the ability to kick. Another could allow only main owners to change the scroller. The possibilities are endless.

New Xat Power – Independence

Xat is releasing a new limited holiday power called Independence. With it, and its included 14 smiles (see below), users will be able to celebrate the up and coming 4th of July holiday.

The going rate in the store, when it becomes available, appears to be 400 xats.
