We’ve taken a hammer to our piggybank, purchased six new Xat banner generators, and will be working tirelessly to give our official Xat banners page that “special” look. Stay tuned for that!
In the meantime, scroll down to the bottom of our Xat banners page and tell us; isn’t the 160 x 600 (the bottom most generator) just the coolest of all banner generators? We love it! Unlike the other 5, it allows you to upload your own image. Weeeeeeeee!
We’ve added a new generator that allows you superimpose text directly to an uploaded image. It’s pretty simple at the moment, allowing you to position and resize text, as well as choosing from a few different font styles.
Once created the image can easily be hosted to Imageshack or saved to your desktop.
For those that don’t have access to Photoshop, or equivalent, this might be a quick way to create your own set of Xat rules.
We’ve added a simple but effective way for users to resize Youtube videos for use in both Xat, and Xatspace.
It’s pretty straightforward stuff; user heads over to Youtube.com, user finds Xat worthy video, copies URL, pastes URL into generator, hits submit, resizes video, copies code and pastes that code to Xat or Xatspace. It’s easier than it sounds
Recently we’ve been experimenting with the idea of adding different profile generators to make life a little easier for Xat users. Our first attempt at this, and definitely not the last, is a triple background generator that we think ties in nicely with Xat.
This generator allows a a user to personalize and create their own Xat triple background layout by selecting three different tile combinations.
Here’s an idea of what it does:

For those of you who aren’t very good with tables, CSS, and/or html, this is a very simple way to tweak the bottom half of your Xat page.
Note: This is a work in progress. Look for new features and tiles as people start to use it.
